The design proposal for Acephale, the second album cover for Thomas Mclaughlin, aimed to create a moody and dark aesthetic that accurately represents the album's theme. The additional imagery was chosen to represent the title, Acephale, which translates to headless. During the creative process, careful consideration was given to the lighting, which was implemented in an obscure 3D environment to establish the foundation of the design. This approach allowed for the addition of Acephale imagery in a way that visually complements the mood and atmosphere of the album.
